From Void is an installation composed of a pool of black ink held within a shallow marble vessel, carved from a solid slab and placed on a black plinth. Suspended above, lengths of white cotton thread descend from the ceiling, their tips lightly touching the surface of the ink. Over time, the threads draw the ink upward, gradually darkening as they absorb and carry it, extending the liquid beyond its contained form and into the vertical space. The work unfolds through this slow process of capillary action, in which the dense field is drawn out of the void and into the threads, shifting from stillness toward movement, from containment toward dispersal. As the ink rises, the work holds a tension between density and extension, gravity and lift, remaining grounded in the vessel even as it reaches upward. From the void, the work emerges.
